Claims to end-to-end encrypt your messages and not to store them or phonecall data. However, use of cloud backup stores your data with the associated corporation, such as Apple for iCloud backup. Not a bad option for an app of this type.

Also, do not give loyalty to any one–as near all become so big that they become sellouts! Caution: In 2022, Odysee pointed out alleged faking of traffic statistics by the Rumble to sway investors. Rumble, who claims to be about free speech, responded with legal threats against the platform. This is not a good sign for the future.
StreamYard	A live-streaming platform ideal for interviews. Can stream to other platforms, though they are big-tech platforms.
Telegram	A great, fast, and easy-to-use streaming app. Create a channel or group and you can stream from either.

The app is also decreasing in popularity to some degree, I believe, as other platforms rise such as OfferUp and others. Expect lots of scammer e-mails, as well. Learn how to recognize them.
eBay	They have been around a long time and are still a great place to buy and sell.
OfferUp ⭐️	A mobile-driven platform for easily selling your items to local buyers and purchasing from people in your area. You can post only from the mobile app but can view your own ads and check messages via your desktop web browser. On large pro to this app is that buyers and sellers can rate each other for being communicative, showing up, friendliness and more. Check to make sure people you buy from or sell to have a solid history of ratings. Expect some scammers to message you and also a lot of annoying default messages such as, “is it still available?”
PublicSq	A new platform for discovering American businesses aligned with your values. This is a boycott-and-replace list in and of itself! They did recently go public–which I hate every time due to snakes pulling companies away from their original values. However, let’s hope this one doesn’t sell out. Disclaimer: Just because PublicSq endorses a business does not mean I do. Use your own discernment.

Million Short ⭐️	Powerful top-pick. Add domains to always exclude from results. Filter out top 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000, or 1,000,000 common results in order to see more fringe and buried results. Update: Unfortunately, this site has an annoying glitch where it constantly asked for verification that you are human and it can take some time to get a search result. If you can learn the site’s quirks, it is still a powerful search tool.
Presearch	More decentralized.
Startpage	Provides Google results anonymously. It does, however, still give Google results and sends them traffic and anonymous search data.

However, a concerning statement was published by their CEO (I am now having a a hard time finding it) that if anyone “misused their platform,” they would be glad to turn them into “the authorities.” So if people discuss self-defense, will they be turned in or…? That’s a no-go for me. But, still better than big-tech media at current.
Minds ⚠️	Great platform, kind of quiet. But a great backup, and minimum. Also, the CEO did go to the White House for a meeting. That raises suspicion.
Parler 💣 👁⚠️	This option is not on my list of recommendations due to my intuition from the start, predictions, and what has now shown true. News surfaced on 04/20/2021 that Parler would return to app stores but with censorship to draconian Apple’s standards. By definition, they are in bed with big tech and have proven their lack of integrity and have sacrificed freedom for licking corporate boot. Previous Notes: This platform was a refuge for many after draconian terms were introduced by Instagram and mass censorship by big tech skyrocketed. But I have never trusted it. Too many mainstream talking heads like Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, and others were shoved in my face and would not go away even when blocked. It could be a way to single out people passionate about truth and selectively target them. They were banned from app stores but have returned as web-based.

Interface is ugly and clunky and video loading time can be a bit slow at times–but it works great and has much better content that would be removed from the likes of YouTube. There are some concerns about who owns this platform and I have witnessed some censorship take place. It used to, supposedly, be peer-to-peer (P2P) but does not appear to be so anymore. Content is hosted on Amazon servers.
BrandNewTube ⭐️	Excellent new platform started by Delores Cahill, an advocate for natural law and true freedom.
Brighteon ❓	A fair platform founded by Mike Adams of Natural News. He can be a bit sensationalist and exaggerate information, but the platform is an option for your content.
Concen ⭐️	While not a streaming or upload platform, this is an excellent platform for torrents of valuable, uncommon, and highly-censored content. Use with discernment as with everything, because nonsensical information is everywhere (except here, of course).
Daily Motion ❓	Old, but still around.

LBRY ⭐️	My personal favorite. It is a non-centralized blockchain-based platform where videos cannot just be nuked because someone’s feelings got hurt. This is a desktop app. The close web equivalent is Odysee, which runs off of LBRY’s backend but, unfortunately, excludes adult content.
LiveLeak ⭐️🚫	Interface is ugly and clunky, but a great spot for uploading and viewing more typically-censored content. However, they did start censoring in recent years.
Metacafe ❓	Old, but also still around.
NewTube 🔍	NewTube is a YouTube alternative powered by open-source software. And since the software is open source anyone can run their own version of the site. Their domain is newtube.app (not .com).
Rumble	Another great replacement for YouTube with monetization opportunity. It has been growing in popularity. However, I recommend it with caution and, in any case, I never recommend building your work on a single platform. Mozilla Firefox 💣	Firefox with max security settings would have been suggested, but I am not recommending it due to their active involvement of destroying the web and censoring truth. See my notes on Mozilla.
Tor Browser ⭐️	Though, originally, a project of the US Navy, it still can be used to make information about as difficult for governments to track as it gets. There are pre-packaged releases of it out there with powerful privacy configurations, or you can learn to configure it yourself. Use it with maximum security setup.
Waterfox ⚠️❓	A spinoff version of Firefox that is, supposedly, more free. However, I don’t know enough about it or its developers to say their code is trustworthy.
